The most difficult Za Cui Diao

I had my 2nd singing lesson this evening. During the first lesson, teacher told us many theories and histories about chinese opera singing, etc. I almost fell asleep because I prefer practical than theory...in other words, I like activities than just listening.

This afternoon, teacher taught us how to sing shao jiang hai's song. This is the most difficult za cui diao I have ever encountered. The notes vary a lot and I don't even know how to read them...LOL...

Challenging indeed...but I will try my best to master this song...because I like za cui diao very much....MX, XJ and K....we shall work hard together....

Opera Sharing Session

I went to ML's house to watch some opera vcds. I was very curious to find out more about Taka cos I have not watched their perf before. So, I asked MX to bring Koju's show. This show is about two thieves, one was good and the other one steals for wealth (Koju's role). However, Koju turns over a new leaf in the end. I like this show very much cos Koju is very handsome and seductive...haha...

During the session, ML was very nice to cook us some noodles. I enjoyed watching and eating at the same time. We also watched a Tw show on the moth's cave. This troupe is very creative and daring to try out such performance. The results is good. I also enjoyed watching.
Before we went off, we also took some pictures of BoBo. This was the first time I took pictures with this KH baby. Haha...luckily, he's willing to take with me...

Malay Dance Performance

A primary school from Nanjing came to my school for an exchange program from Monday. We had to put up a dance item so we did a malay dance on Monday. We had performed this Malay dance last year but we had forgotten the steps. So, we went back every Sat to practise on the dance and this really took up most of our precious time on Sat morning. Despite all the troubles, I find it very fun and relaxing...

My friend hasn't sent me the photo taken that day and I shall post up next time....

Performance Season is over

YEAH! Finally, the performance season is over...We can rest at least one week...hahaha...

This time round, we still have to practise and rehearse a few shows despite having a long break. However, it's good because we get to truly learn and improve ourselves. I don't like to rush for performances as I didn't learn much out of it.

Kh is going to publish a book so some of us may have to help out in this area. We still go Kh for our classes and practices. Thanks to leader and friends for giving me opportunties and encouraging me to go for a challenging role. Though the show may not be staged so fast, it's a good thing that I can have more time to master it. I look forward to all my practices and I prefer leader to teach me personally...Haha...I get to learn more from one to one coaching. Maybe I'm slower. I'm a kinesthetic and visual learner. I need to move and talk about it before I can learn anything...haha...

Before all those continuous rehearsals, I need to go shopping!
