Back in Singapore

Yes! I finally have the time to post something up here.

I was back from Japan last week. I had sooooo many tasks to clear before I could really sit down to surf the internet... Work is awaiting for me...deadline's tomorrow :(

I enjoyed a lot in Fukuoka (Hakata) and those cities I went. The weather was pretty good and temperature was just nice. However, I felt that it was a little too dry for me so my nose and lips bled very often.

Things there are also very expensive....

I took many pictures and would post up on some other days...too lazy...

DO Performance on 7 Nov 2009

DO was invited to put up a performance again today. It was in the afternoon so we started our preparation very early.

I think I was pretty stressed as I was unwell for the past 2 weeks. I was afraid that I could not sing at all. Luckily, everything turned out to be fine. The performance was a success! The elderly enjoyed and hoped that we could go back to perform again...

SF and YY came to help today. The performance could not make it without them. Thank you, buddies!

After the performance, we went around to shake hands with the old folks as usual...We're really happy that they appreciate our efforts...I have never seen A's happy face for a long long time. I'm glad that she's happy with what she's doing now. You have our fullest support, leader! Btw, Leader, thanks for giving me a chance to be your Yingtai. Hahaha...

YY and SF are so fun loving. I really enjoyed their accompany. Most importantly, they came all the way to help and tried their best to assist in the preparation. The three of them seemed to be having a great time today.

Vacation

Yuppie! I've finally booked the flight. I think I better get a translation dictionary just in case I need to speak in Japanese. Amai told me to wear more thick clothes as it is going to be very cold in Japan. Thanks for your advice! Wondering if I will see any Koju's pictures or posters?hmm...

A Good Break

This week is hectic as usual. Soooooo tiring...I had not fully recovered. Hope everything goes well next week. After the performance, we're going to have a long break. The trip is sort of finalised. I look forward to my Dec holidays...

The next step

A and I look forward to the next opportunity in Nov. I would say that we have been very lucky to have met people who appreciate our efforts. Moreover, my buddies are always there to support me whenever I need help. Without them, the show cannot go on. Thanks buddies in advance for your help!

I enjoyed the previous performance. Hopefully, the next one will be better. I have confidence in my stage partner and myself for we've put in lots of time and efforts. A friend told me that exposure was good and experience could be gained. Another told me that she wished to see me on stage again. I will not disappoint her. I will grab any chance of upgrading myself :) I think I have been doing this all these while...

Performance on 10 Oct

I also so busy that day so I only took 1 picture with my buddy... really appreciate her help... She was so nice to go all the way to the east to support me. With her encouragement, I did not let her down that evening :)

That was the first time I dressed up as a xiaosheng. I felt a little uncomfortable at first but I managed to convince myself to get used to it. Although there were many hiccups that evening, the performance was a success. It gave me more confidence and motivation to move on...

I met an old friend that day. She mentioned about that issue. I was at a loss for words. Maybe it's a norm in this field. In the end, she gave me her blessings...Thank you, old friend!

It was an exciting day for me and my partner...I got up very early to get prepared for the performance. I hoped everything would be fine that evening.

SF came to help that day. It was very nice of her. She would also want to help on the next performance. We were having lots of fun in the room where we did our make-up. SF was very spontaneous and friendly. Both of them (SF & A) got along pretty well.

The audience's response was good and I was glad that we had made the elderly happy...shall upload pictures soon...

EL's wedding

I went to the wedding banquet of EL and YL last month...saw many friends from sec school... I thought it was a good gathering session. We chatted a lot and talked about our lives...It was not crowded at Suntec although there was F1 race going on...I didn't get to watch the race but the noise made by the cars was sort of unbearable to me...

A stroll

I was soooooo busy at work since the beginning of this term... Two weeks ago, I finally had time for my girl...Brought her out for a long stroll at Telok Blangah Park...Think she enjoyed herself :) Too bad I din take any picture...

I feel very tired this week. Got to wake up early almost every day...sigh...

Hope that next week will be better...

Friendship

Recently, I have been meeting up with friends from pri sch, sec sch and nie...This always happens during june and dec holidays as I usually have more time during these periods....Thanks to my friends who are very understanding. They know I can only meet them during these two months...

I went to Wheellock Place for lunch with Da Jie & Er Jie... It had been a year since we met and we're still very chatty during our meal. Well, we had so much to share about what happened for the past year...

I went to Paragon for dinner with EL and HY... I thought I will receive a red card from EL (who is getting married soon...) but the cards are not ready...HY, I'll put up the photos at facebook...

I went to Raffles City for dinner with SF and YY. We had a long chat and then we went Boat Quay for a drink and 'sight-seeing' after that...hoping to see somebodies...but in the end, we ended up leaving that pub pretty early...will post up the pictures soon...

Even if we're busy, it's really great to meet up with friends once in a while to find out more about one another. In my opinion, good friends are not necessary to be with you physically all the time, need not be seeing you everyday and frequently, need not keep on reminding you that they're your good friends (Believe me, some pple really do that!) , need not keep on msging or call you, bla bla bla... As long as they understand and really support you, that's friendship.

I really have to thank my good friends who are always there for me during my hard times...only you all understand what I'm going through recently and support and encourage me always...

Taiwan Trip

I visited Taiwan two weeks ago. My holidays lasted a week and I got to go to different parts of Taiwan to enjoy the food and scenery.

I arrived at Chiayi on the first night. After checking in, I went to the night market at Wen Hua Street. Food is really cheap and delicious there, especially 三色蛋 and 卤味.

On the second day, I took a train to Alisan. It took more than 4 hours to reach there.

Early in the morning, I took a train to Zhu Shan to see sunrise...It was really not easy for me to wake up so early and I had to climb up flights of stairs to get to the viewing point.

I arrived at Taipei in the evening on the third day. As the night was still young, I went to Ximending for a meal and at the same time, I went to take a picture of The Red Theatre.

On the next day, I went to watch Taiwanese Opera before going to Shilin for snacks. The performing troupe was Xiu Qin Ge Zi Xi Tuan.

I was told that I had to go to Taipei 101. I was pretty disappointed with that place. I left the place soon and went to Wu Fen Pu for shopping instead.


Finally, I went to Danshui for Fisherman's Wharf and Tie Dan.




It was really an enjoyable and fruitful trip for me. Given a chance, I would want to go there again...

I'm back!

I'm finally back from Taiwan!

My trip was so enjoyable and I've taken lots of photo...I have been to different places to try out different food and will post up the photos soon...

June Hols are Coming Soon

Finally, the June hols are coming...so happy...

Life's a little more relaxed now since it's after examinations. I've got to work on my hol plans. I've finally confirmed my holiday trip. YEAH! Shopping time for me finally...(else my Buddy is gonna complain that I've run out of attire already...haha)

Finally, I managed to find time to go back to kh. I just went back there yesterday to get my things...sort of clear up my cupboard so as to make way for others...(Juan, (dunno if you have received my sms) your things are still with me...will return you on my next visit to kh k? Thanks...Cos I forgot to bring there yesterday...)

My B-Day Celebration

Last Friday was so called my lunar bday...I didn't even know till I received a call from my mum...haha...Anyway, I went to work and everything was fine that day...no 'surprises' at work...hahaha...

March Holidays

Life is really busy so the only time for me to relax is during the school holidays...

I went to Bintan in March for a short getaway. The weather was good so I got to enjoy and indulge myself in seafood at Kelong Restaurant.

A Visit to Beijing

Last Dec, I went to Beijing for a short holiday. It was my first time there. I was pretty excited about it so I spent lots of time shopping for winter wear.

The weather was extremely cold (Around -10). I went to many places including Great Wall of China, etc...So sad as I was unwell since the second day so I didn't climb up to the peak...

Busy Busy Busy...

Finally, I got a little time to blog again...

Life was very busy since the beginning of the year. I've been leading a fruitful life although a lot of changes took place. After deciding on the kind of life I want, I'm much happier now...

I'm planning to go for a holiday but it may be cancelled...sigh...

Oh yes, I may have to dance again in Children Day this year...I have not been attending class for sooooooo long...hopefully it will turn out well :P
